The Fondaton de l’Ecologie Politique is honoured to annouce his support to the 2016 edition of the Environmental Politics and Policy Summer School at Sciences Po Lille.
The summer school will give 20 PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working in the field of environmental politics a unique opportunity to exchange teaching and research ideas with colleagues from other universities and research institutes.
2016 will be the seventh occasion that the ECPR’s Environmental Politics Standing Group is running a Summer School. The previous Summer Schools were at Keele in 2001, Lulea in 2002, and Keele in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2013.
Ten taught sessions over two weeks will be led by international experts. There will also be student papers, social events, and opportunities to explore Lille and the surrounding region.
Teaching will be organised across five themes:
- Green political theory
- International relations of the environment
- Contemporary environmental politics
- Green movements and parties
- Public policy and the environment
The aims of the Environmental Politics and Policy Summer School are:
- To develop links between established and young environmental political scientists and theorists working in European universities and research institutes;
- To stimulate closer academic cooperation between research students working on environmental issues;
- To contribute to the intellectual and career development of new and young researchers;
- To provide new and young researchers with a forum to discuss their research with other researchers from a range of ECPR universities and research institutes;
- To create a network of researchers concerned with issues of environmental politics and policy.
